Tragedy as woman dies after being hit by reversing tractor

A woman has died after she was hit by a reversing tractor in South Yorkshire.
Officers were called at 11.50am yesterday, November 5, to Newton Lane in Sprotbrough, Doncaster, after the woman was run over by the farm vehicle.
A green tractor with a single axle trailer attached was involved in the tragedy.
It is understood the tractor and trailer were being reversed onto Newton Lane at the time.
The woman tragically suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Yorkshire Police say her family have been told and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
A 30-year-old man driving the tractor was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Officers are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to come forward.
