Written by Rother Radio News on 26/11/2020
As we exit the second lockdown phase people will no longer be made to stay at home for all but essential business.
Shops, gyms, salons and leisure venues will be allowed to reopen and the rule of six will apply.
But while those in tiers 1 and 2 will be allowed to attend sports events and go to the pub, we in tier 3 won’t.
Here is a quick guide to the new tier 3 rules.
Pubs and restaurants
Hospitality venues will not be able to reopen except for deliveries and takeaway.
Household mixing and social gatherings
You may not mix outside your household or social bubble, either indoors or outdoors in places like private gardens, beer gardens, hospitality or ticketed venues.
The rule of six applies to open spaces such as parks, forests or beaches.
Holidays and travel
You are advised not to travel in and out of the area except for work and education.
Religious services an go ahead as long as the sub-group you’re in the venue with is consistent with social gathering rules for your tier.
Driving lessons and tests
Driving lessons and tests can go ahead.
Up to 15 guests will be allowed for weddings and civil partnerships but receptions are not permitted.
