The College’s Hospitality and Catering students have been cooking up hot meals and putting together food parcels for Rotherham Independent Volunteer Organisation (RIVO) to support those less fortunate in the local community.
RIVO offer support to vulnerable service users on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with a specific hot food service offered on a Wednesday evening. They also provide food packages to individuals that are in temporary accommodation/shelter across Rotherham.
We spoke to John, the Wharncliffe Resturant Manager and Trainer, and also Logan, one of the students currently studying catering and hospitality at Rotherham College to find out more.
