The 21 Covid-19 hotspots mapped across South Yorkshire

Written by on 15/10/2020

There are 21 places in South Yorkshire with the highest number of coronavirus cases according to the latest data.

Using an interactive map, which records the number of positive Covid cases for each Middle Super Output Area (MSOA) in England, we have been able to see which parts of the county are worst affected by the deadly virus.

It shows that one area of the county recorded almost 300 cases of the coronavirus in the seven day period to October 10.

The majority of the high number areas can be seen in Sheffield but there are also spikes in cases in Rotherham and Doncaster.

This comes as Sheffield’s coronavirus infection rate is still one of the highest in the whole country.
