The 12 areas of South Yorkshire with the lowest Covid rates

Some areas of South Yorkshire have seen little or no positive coronavirus cases according to the latest data.
An interactive map helps to show the areas in South Yorkshire that have recorded a small number of Covid-19 cases between September 26 and October 2.
It looks at the number recorded in each Middle Super Output Area to collect the figures on cases with a seven day period.
Just three areas in the whole county reported between zero and two cases of the virus in this time frame.
However, there were also a handful of areas that had four or less positive cases.
The best places in South Yorkshire for low coronavirus cases:
Thrybergh and Hooton Roberts – 0 to 2
Conisbrough South – 0 to 2
South Elmsall – 0 to 2
Hillsbrough, Owlerton and Wadsley Bridge – 3
Mexborough East – 3
Moorends – 3
Lower Stannington – 4
Herdings and Gleadless Valley – 4
East Herringthorpe – 4
Kimberworth Park – 4
Hexthorpe and Balby North – 4
Bentley Rise – 4
This comes as Sheffield’s director has public health has said that it is “inevitable” that the city will be put into lockdown after a soaring number of cases.
Over 900 students are self-isolating at the two universities at the city.
In total 962 students and staff are in quarantine after a positive Covid-19 test result since the term began.
