Survey: Should South Yorkshire be under a Tier 3 lockdown?

Written by on 14/10/2020

How do you feel about the current lockdown restrictions in place for South Yorkshire?

The region was placed under a tier two lockdown on Monday and the rules came into effect today.

It is now against the law for anyone in South Yorkshire to have people that they do not live with in their homes.

And it is also against the new rules for anyone in South Yorkshire to visit other people in their homes.

But the rules do not just apply to private homes, you may not meet with people outside your housing or support bubble in any indoor space – including pubs, bars and restaurants.

With Christmas looming, this could well mean that family will not be able to gather for the festive season.

But there are some that feel the rules still do not go far enough and there is even mention of South Yorkshire going into a tier three lockdown.

This would mean that non-essential businesses, including pubs and bars, would need to shut and gatherings in private gardens would also be outlawed.

Do you think that tier two is high enough? Would you have preferred South Yorkshire to be in tier three? Have your say by filling out our South Yorkshire tier survey.
