A convicted burglar is on the run from a Doncaster prison and police are seeking help from the public to find him.
South Yorkshire Police say Philip Lee absconded from HMP Hatfield, an open prison where Philip Lee was serving a five and a half year sentence for burglary.
On Thursday the 30 year old left the prison and failed to return.
Officers are working to trace him but have asked for help from the public.
A spokesman said: “Lee is described as being around 5ft 10, with very short brown hair and tattoos on his right arm. He was last seen wearing light blue jeans or trousers and a light blue, long-sleeved top.
“He is believed to have links to Chorley, Preston, Blackburn and other parts of Lancashire.
“Police are asking members of the public who see Lee not to approach him, and instead call 999.
“If you have any information as to where he might be, please call 101, quoting incident number 396 of 12 November.
“Alternatively, you can remain completely anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
