Police release update into deaths of five South Yorkshire women

There have been no new arrests or charges into the deaths of five women who have all died in South Yorkshire over the past five months.
South Yorkshire Police have launched murder investigations into each of the women’s deaths who have all had their lives ended too soon.
Claire Anderson, Amanda Sedgwick, Michelle Morris, Kimberley Smith and an unnamed 28-year-old from Mexborough, all died between May and July.
Despite murder investigations being launched into each of the women’s deaths, no one has yet been charged.
Below is an update on each tragic case.
The 35-year-old was found unresponsive by emergency services at a house in Thorne Road, Doncaster, on Saturday, July 11.
Emergency services had been called to the property in the town at around 9.30pm.
A 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and has been released under investigation.
Her death is currently being treated as unexplained as her postmortem was inconclusive.
South Yorkshire Police say that enquiries are continuing.
Amanda Sedgwick was found at a property in Askern, Doncaster, in May.
Officers were called at 11pm on Wednesday, May 20, to a house in Manor Way.
A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
Her death is also being treated as unexplained due to an inconclusive postmortem. Officers are now awaiting toxicology results.
The man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.
There is no further update from South Yorkshire Police and enquiries are ongoing.
The 52-year-old was found after police were called to reports of a disturbance in Stainforth, Doncaster.
Officers went to a house in Ramskir View at 3pm on May 24. When they arrived, Michelle was found suffering serious head injuries.
She was taken to hospital but sadly died on May 27.
A post mortem showed she died from a head injury.
Two men and one woman arrested at the scene, then re-arrested on suspicion of murder have since been released under investigation.
A murder investigation was launched after Kimberley Smith was found unresponsive in June.
The 35-year-old, also known as Kimmy, was found in Pavilion Way in Firth Park, Sheffield, just before 8.30am on June 26. She was taken to hospital but died shortly before 5pm.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
Officers are also treating her death as unexplained as the post mortem was inconclusive.
The 22-year-old arrested has been released on police bail.
South Yorkshire Police say the investigation is ongoing.
Unnamed Mexborough woman
A 28-year-old woman from Mexborough was found dead inside a property on June 8.
Emergency services were called to Main Street at 12.50pm.
Two men, aged 27 and 33, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
Formal identification is yet to take place.
South Yorkshire Police say her death is also being treated as unexplained as the post mortem was inconclusive. There was no evidence of any physical injury.
The man and woman arrested at the scene have been released under investigation.
