Police name woman tragically killed by reversing tractor

A woman who tragically died after she was hit by a reversing tractor in South Yorkshire has been named by police.

South Yorkshire Police have identified Lorraine Walker, 63, as the pedestrian who was run over by a tractor on November 5 in Sprotbrough, Doncaster.

It is understood that the green tractor, which had a single axle trailer attached, was reversing onto Newton Lane at the time of the crash.

Emergency services were called to Newton Lane after the incident but Mrs Walker suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for the force added: “Her family has asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.

“Police remain keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, especially any motorists who were travelling through the area who might hold dash-cam footage.
