Police find girl, 3, after desperate search in quiet Yorkshire village

Police launched a massive search operation this morning to find a missing three-year-old girl in a quiet village near Sheffield.
Several units with South Yorkshire Police were involved in the search operation, which got underway shortly after 9.15am today.
Thankfully, the operation ended successfully when the girl was located near Aughton Road, in Aughton, soon after the search began.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Police responded to reports of concern for a child in the Aughton Road area at 9.16am this morning.
“The three-year-old child was found safe and well a short time later.”
The police spokesperson added: “Thank you to the community for your support.”
