Pedestrian, 62, in hospital after crash with car when crossing the road

A 62-year-old man is in hospital after a crash with a car whilst he was crossing the road in Sheffield.
Emergency services were called to Main Street in Darnall at 6.40pm on Sunday November 22 after reports of a crash between a car and a pedestrian.
The accident is said to have happened whilst the man was crossing the road and a black Mercedes collided with him.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 29-year-old man, stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries into the crash.
South Yorkshire Police say that the pedestrian suffered internal injuries and injuries to his pelvis and leg.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone else who witnessed the collision, has dash cam footage or who saw the Mercedes prior to the collision.
