Man, 45, arrested over murder of woman found dead in house

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a woman at a property in Sheffield.
Emergency services were called just after 6am this morning, November 18, after reports that a woman had been found with injuries inside a home in Castlebeck Drive.
A 45-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her death is being treated as suspicious by South Yorkshire Police.
A 45-year-old man has been arrested on the suspicion of murder today, Wednesday, and is still in police custody.
A post-mortem examination to determine her cause of death is expected to be held later today.
Police also say that formal identification has not yet taken place.
South Yorkshire Police have said that there will be a heightened police presence in the Castlebeck Drive area while officers carry out initial enquiries.

This is the third murder investigation launched in the city since Sunday.
Kamran Khan, 28, died from his injuries after being stabbed in Club Garden Road, Sharrow, early on Sunday morning.
Ramey Ghalib also died after being shot inside a property in Grimesthorpe Road South in the Burngreave area of the city at around 1am on Monday, November 16.
